Hg2 : The Hedonist

Rocherbrune

One of the less lofty runs in Megève, the Rocherbrune lift many only climb to 1,745-metres, but this area also includes the Cote 2000 at the end of the valley. Here the terrain is challenging both on- and off-piste. A favourite for off-piste is the ‘magic garden’ at Cote 2000; find it between the women’s downhill and the Pre Rosset blue. There are many different routes dropping into a variety of couloirs and valleys and ending on the Pre Rosset. Alternatively, turn left from the top of the Cote 2000 chair and ski the top part of the Chalet piste. Next, bear further right and drop into a large off-piste area, choosing routes through wide fields or a narrow stream to the bottom of the Cote 2000 area. Cut-throughs along the Rocherbrune ridge from piste to piste offer great tree skiing, too.
