Hg2 : The Hedonist

Spire Bar

This bar has not been exposed to the general public until now. In 1998 Tiffany the jewellers challenged Tiffany the hotel, which opened on South Beach in 1939, over the rights to its original name. The jewellers came out on top, but the hotel was allowed to keep the famous Tiffany Spire on the roof of the building. Recently, however, the ‘Tiffany’ has been dropped from the bar’s name.
rn
rnAfter a period of collective masterminding, developer Tony Goldman and his team renamed the hotel ‘The Hotel’. They also fitted a bar at the base of the spire and added some decking and sofas. With views of the entire city, this has to be one of the most idyllic spots to soak in the South Beach experience.
rn
rnThe bar is closed at the beginning of the week but hosts Thursday night parties and is popular at weekends. There is also access to The Hotel’s roof pool, which is lit up at night.
