Locals like to keep this tiny little bar a secret from tourists, although the specials board says the bar is still available for photo shoots. It is not often that you find a secret location in Miami, but it is a pleasure when this does happen.
rnThe Room is a recent addition to South Beach that serves an international selection of beer and wine, and has no intention of introducing a cocktail shaker to its toolbox. Brown padded sofa stools hug a curved bar lit up by dimmed spotlights and candles, while there are other high tables and additional sofas at the back.
rnThe Room is small and attracts a loyal following of locals from 6pm onwards when hairdressers, businessmen and photographers sip on continental lager and Yorkshire brown ale. Later on The Room brims with additional waitresses and clientele from the restaurants around the corner until the room runs out.
rnThis is the perfect bar for a drink before or after dining at Nemo, Prime One Twelve and Shoji Sushi just yards away around the corner. It is also close to Nikki Beach, Pearl, Opium Garden and Privé nightclubs.
rnPhotographers should bring additional lighting when shooting here.
