Van Dyke Café
A music lounge and café, like Cafeteria, the Van Dyke is one of the more touristy cafes in Miami.
The 1924 Van Dyke building towers above everything but the Sony headquarters and the Sun Trust Bank (which is also a good place to get cash out at the Western end) on Lincoln Road and is covered in creeper, which is quite a refreshing change from the concrete walls of most of the buildings along the road.
The ground floor is dedicated to the café, offering burgers, salads, omelettes and pizzas, while the upstairs is the jazz bar which plays live jazz seven nights a week. The Van Dyke is a good pit stop for shoppers and boasts Miami’s only jazz bar.
