Mansion sums up what clubs in Miami are all about. The majority of the clubbers who frequent Mansion look as if they have come straight off a porn set. This may sound harsh, but – unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, it’s a pretty fair assessment.
It’s about packing 2,500 Barbies and Kens into six VIP areas and five dance rooms, charging them $20 to get in, charging them $10 a drink and cranking up the house music until 5am – a couple of hours after the celebrities have wobbled off home in their Hummers.
Set in a building that was first built as the French Casino in 1936, Mansion spans over 40,000 square feet and is tarted up with chandeliers, fireplaces, Venetian mirrors, keystone arches and seven projection screens. Tables can be reserved in advance, ranging from $200 to $2,000 in price, depending on the size of party.
If you can’t get in, then head across the street to Automatic Slims.
