The renovated SLS South Beach had a gestational period of seven years but the doors are now open to worship at this shrine of hipness. A seemingly unlikely design collaboration between Philipe Starck, Lenny Kravitz, Jose Andres and Sam Nazarian has rendered a charmingly whimsical and flirtatious result. Starck took inspiration from Madame de Pompadour which is seen through the unusual chandeliers, murals, vast mirrors over beds and snack boxes labelled either saints or sinners. Naughtiness is definitely encouraged.
Andres importance is central to the hotel so they’ve removed the lobby in its entirety and you walk straight into The Bazaar where the lure of a hand-crafted Latin influenced cocktail could keep you distracted for hours….
There are three restaurants onsite, bars and a club and a spa to rival on on the Beach all with impeccable style and service meaning you can relax and let the hipsters come to you….
