Café Prima Pasta
People in this largely Argentinian neighbourhood say they know when they have arrived home because they can smell the wafts of garlic coming from Café Prima Pasta, one of Italian restaurants in Miami. After arriving in 1985, the Cea family, who have ancestral roots in Italy, worked as waiters and cooks in other restaurants before joining forces to create Prima Pasta in 1993. Now Papa Arturo and Mamma Carla continue to do the cooking, while Fabian takes care of the books, and Gerardo and Marcela help with menus and Cafe Prima Pasta’s ‘image’. The Ceas even offer to feed your pets while you eat either on the new, decked terrace, or in the cosy interior where the panelled walls are covered in photos of movie stars, many of whom have eaten here. The well-priced home-made pastas, seafood, veal and steaks are all fabulous, and booking is advised.
