Tongue and Cheek
With such a stellar pedigree it’s not surprising Jamie deRosa’s new venture is as great as it is but it’s not just the food that’s make you smile. Tongue & Cheek has a quirky sense of humour notably in the art on the walls like horses in sunglasses which follows through in some of the more whimsical dishes. Pea soup theatrically poured at table over lime marshmallows as are liquid nitrogen margaritas clearly show deRosa’s heritage in the Michelin starred restaurants under luminaries as Puck and Blumenthal but the team are keen to balance the haute side with a more low key vibe. So while one of you is chowing down cauliflower panna cotta the less adventurous can be reassured the signature burger, made from nothing less than tender cheek that’ll elevates the humble fair to something you’ll end up dreaming about.
