Pérez Art Museum Miami
As far as galleries in Miami go, the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) is a steady draw for lovers of contemporary art. Dedicated to works from the 20th and 21st centuries, with a particular bent towards the Americas, PAMM has an impressive and ever-growing collection. And its year-round exhibitions, including everything from interdisciplinary performance art to large scale installations, ensure near-constant press coverage, as well as maintaining its position as a leading cultural institution.
Opened in 2013, the Pérez Art Museum Miami is the latest incarnation of the Miami Art Museum, currently residing in a eco-friendly, multi-million dollar space with beautiful gardens designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron. Free public tours happen through the week and take in some of the highlights of the museum, with private tours allowing visitors to tailor their trip to suit their interests.
