Hg2 : The Hedonist

360º

Design friends Monica and Angelo dreamt respectively of bringing a unique addition to Milan’s restaurants and a Madagascan plant shop. In 2000, they joined forces to build an oasis of healthy wholefoods in a fresh environment. They called it 360º because it would encompass the best dining and services of all sorts: in this ex-shutter factory they also exhibit art and have a Shiatsu/Thai massage room (advance booking necessary).

The vibe is laid-back and laissez-faire, with an ethnic-influenced buffet of salads, curries and spicy vegetables. Fashionably 1970s in style, it resembles a camp canteen for a progressive secondary school, with beige stacking chairs, psychedelic tablecloths and pink and orange walls.

It attracts a fashionable crowd, not least since Via Tortona is full of design and photographic studios. In fact it’s so fashionable that major league fashion designers often hold private parties here so call ahead to check.
