Alessandro Ristorante
When Solferino, one of the traditional restaurant in Milan’s Brera district, changed management, people didn’t know where to eat the best risotto of the city. No problem in summer, but from autumn, risotto is indispensable!
Fortunately Cesare Battisti, chef of ex-Solferino, has opened this restaurant on a romantic street in the heart of Garibaldi. The place is small, lovely, with yellow wall, wood table and vintage wine everywhere. The food is typically Lombard and Milanese in particular, but there are some creative recipes as small lobster with rasberry vinegar.
But that’s all a prelude to one of the best gastronomic experience of your life: risotto (with porcini mushrooms, or Modena balsamic vinegar and parmigiano) and costoletta alla milanese (Milanese Cutlet). Ideal for a romantic dinner (candles are on the table, of course) before enjoying the myriad bars and clubs in the Corso Como area.
