Il Vicolo has swiftly gathered a reputation as one of the best restaurants in the Milan area. It won’t win prizes for convenience, but it scores highly on every other front. To get there, head out of Milan from Porta Genova, taking the street along Naviglio Grande canal for around 5km to a small town called Corsico.rnrnMore than a restaurant: the small, modern and smart wonderful Il Vicolo (the alley, in English) is also Emanuela and Cristian’s home. Emanuela is always ready to explain the menu – including Cristian’s more whimsical recipes. Try the polenta cake with rustin negà (pork) and barolo wine, or ravioli with lamb and cardoons, served on geometric dishes of all shapes. The wine list is a special treat, packed with unusual choices: if you’ve ever tried one of these bottle before we’ll offer you the dinner!
