The Arbat Hotel is a great choice for those looking for a more affordable stay in Moscow, and let’s face it affordable hotels in Moscow are hard to come by. Especially if you fancy resting your weary feet in a quiet, yet centrally located area, just off the historic Old Arbat pedestrianized street.
The entrance hall and stairs are slightly grander than the 104 rooms, which are large and have grand high-ceilings. Many have undergone refurbishment, like many of the ex-Soviet hotels, so the bathrooms and furnishings are being given a bit of a design spruce.
Each room is equipped with all the necessary amenities – a TV, fridge and telephone. The summer veranda is a pleasant place to sit and have a drink before popping round the corner to Cantinetta e Antinori, one of the best Italian restaurants in Moscow.
