The Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography
Housed in the former Red October confectionary factory, looking out over the Moscow River, the Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography is an atmospheric space dedicated solely to photography. Owners Natalia Grigorieva and Edward Litvinskiy established the center in 2010 to exhibit the works of Russian and international photographers through a year-round calendar of events and shows. In recent years, the PhotoSreda educational programme, involving lectures, masterclasses and workshops, has been added to the center’s portfolio, boosting the prestige of the already popular gallery complex.
The Biblioteka&Cafe at the Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography contains the largest public art library in the city, as well as a cosy rug-strewn area for reading and caffeinating. And the PhotoBookPoster shop has several thousand tomes for sale, as well as souvenir posters and postcards; an ideal shopping trip for any visiting art lovers.
