Flamboyante
In night-time hues of black and red, Flamboyante remains a little known gem tucked away in South Mumbai that is popular with generation X’ers. Flamboyante is owned by Amish Arora, who pioneered pub culture in Mumbai, so by coming here drinkers are in good hands.
The extensive (and eclectic) menu ranges from pizzas and Tom Yum to Peking Duck and is great to line the stomach, especially if you view the not insubstantial wine list as a personal challenge. The courtyard garden, filled with rattan chairs and umbrellas, makes a sociable smoking area in the muggy evening air. Inside, the décor is understated and pub relaxed, but get here early to nab a good spot on one of the many bar stools.
