Since opening in 2010, Escobar has quickly propelled itself into the fickle arms of the city’s party people. With a beautiful, minimalistic Burmese teak interior, gold panelling, high-end cuisine, smart open air deck, garden variety cocktails and – the jewel in it’s crown – a 77 foot long bar – reportedly the longest in India, this bar demands a visit.

Now firmly labelled by those in the know as one of Mumbai’s hottest hang-outs – Escobar has launched an iPad menu which, amongst other things, suggests food and wine pairings and tasting notes.

The music is eclectic – expect Latin beats, World Music, Chill Out and Lounge – as is the menu which offers dishes from around the world – Italian, Mexican, Tapas. Naturally, valet parking is available for all the playboys and pin-up beauties who hang out here. A word of warning from one hedonist to another – beware the Jagermeister Machine.
