This upscale, split-level, lounge-cum-pan-Asian restaurant/bar (phew!) attracts Mumbai’s sleek and sassy style set. With large Buddha’s, water features, glowing lanterns and gigantic stone statues there’s a distinctly loungey-laid back feel.
That is, unless there’s one of the retro-themed Friday nights in which case it’s a whole other ball game. These night’s get insanely busy with everyone enjoying the retro-remix in a hands-in-the-air sort of way.rnNormally, Mumbaikars come here to relax, sip a cocktail and eat sushi and tempura on the low-slung seating, which as someone pointed out, is slightly odd given that the ceiling seems sky high.
As an added bonus, Shiro is in Mumbai’s best area for nightlife, Worli, which is also home to nighttime favourites such as Blue Frog and The Tasting Room. Expect to leave with your pocket slightly worse for wear, as night’s here do not come cheap.
