Trident Nariman Point
This is our kind of hotel. The lobby of the Trident Nariman Point is nearly always buzzy, the staff is obliging yet unobtrusive, and there’s a real sense of being at the centre of things. The fact that it’s directly connected to The Oberoi (part of the same group) makes a stay here even better as it opens up yet more dining and drinking options.
The elegant guestrooms are decorated in neutral tones with unexpected splashes of red – the Club rooms on the 28th-31st floors provide superb views of the sea, butler service and access to a smart lounge with a library and complimentary canapés and drinks. Definitely worth the extra rupees.
Located downtown, the Trident Nariman Point is close to the main tourist draws – including the Gateway of India and Kala Ghoda art district – guests can walk to Mumbai’s many sights. In the morning it’s quite a sight to see the weight-watching masses parade up and down Marine Drive. We suggest a visit to Trident’s excellent Shanti spa instead.
