Design Temple
Design diva Divya Thakur (say that three times fast!) founded Design Temple in 1999 to be a place of collaboration, progressive design and forward thinking. It has since evolved from just a designer workspace into a full-blown shop where one goes to find whatever it is that one wants in the genre of ‘India cool’ (that’s art and home accessories for those keeping track).
Hipsters and Mumbai cool kids love the products and ideas showcased at Design Temple, which are either crafted in-house or created through collaborations with designers and artists, both Indian and international. From posters, tableware, carpets, LED lights to stationery the Design Temple range subverts kitsch and other stereotypes, and provides a refreshing take on contemporary Indian visual grammar.
