Besh Steak House is where to go when the carnivore in you needs pleasing – and you are sure to be well-satisfied with such an accomplished chef heading this steak restaurant. Louisianans’ native son, chef John Besh – winner of a James Beard award – has Restaurant August as his flagship, but he also applies his talents to steak at Harrah’s Casino. The steakhouse is both flashy (à la casino) and functional (with an open kitchen for diners to watch the chefs). The menu pleases the high rollers who want a grand spread as well as serious eaters who know a good meal when they taste it. Look for well-prepared steaks and surprising side dishes. Besh insists on filling plates with a variety of fresh, local produce.
