A few streetcar stops from Canal Street, Emeril’s Delmonico combines Garden District elegance with French Quarter flair. The culinary establishment, opened in 1895 and taken over by Emeril in 1997, recalls the golden age of fine dining. Professional service and tableside preparations of grandiose Creole dishes are still the norm here. The restaurant is also well known for its dry aged steaks. Emeril added a few modern touches, but at Delmonico the celebrity chef reins in his culinary creativity and offers a loving tribute to an earlier era.
