The rib at Rib Room is prime rib. This restaurant opened over half a century ago to please the carnivorous appetites of men fed-up with sissy seafood restaurants. The menu features an abundance of red meat, much of which is cooked in the giant rotisserie oven. The city’s movers and shakers have always loved the clubby atmosphere of the Rib Room. Many of them have private cellars at the restaurant, and the labelled keys that unlock their vino can be seen hanging in the basement. Ask for a window table and watch the Royal Street scene.
