Local craftspeople have banded together to show and sell their upscale wares at this Right-Here-in-New-Orleans (RHINO) gallery. Look for jewelry, such as a pin patterned on the Sewerage and Water Board’s manhole covers with its crescent moon and stars design. Or you might find little figures sculpted of Mississippi mud. The art available for browsing constantly changes but often includes masks, ceramics, wood carvings, fabrics and clothing, and an array of hats. The store, a true co-op, is staffed by participating artists, who will happily tell you about their own work and that of their friends.
