In New Orleans, you can eat a meal prepared by a renowned chef at any number of restaurants. At the New Orleans Cooking Experience, the chef will spend a few hours showing you how the dishes are made. Frank Brigtsen, owner of Brigtsen’s and a James Beard award-winning chef, designed the school’s curriculum, which focuses on New Orleans’ Creole cuisine. Classes of no more than ten gather in the residential-style kitchen at the House on Bayou Road and sip wine as the chef ?prepares a three-course dinner. Then, the class retires to the dining room to eat the food they just watched the chef prepare.
