Le Pub Saint-Germain
More akin to a gastro-pub that a traditional British boozer, this is a huge space united by a brown and beige colour scheme. The long bar at the front has large, comfy brown leather sofas and a section of terracotta wall with sunflowers. The back, which leads to a quaint, cobbled street, is decorated in a more sombre colonial style.
An adjacent room has an Asian theme. None of this is really important, however, because at night it’s so dark you can barely see anything at all – which hardly matters, as you’re probably there on a blurry-visioned bender anyway, not to appreciate the décor.
The food is uninspired, although good for emergency fuelling, so it’s surprising to see Parisians coming here for lunch and ordering bottles of Jacob’s Creek.
