The Fish Club
The team behind the Experimental Cocktail Club have turned their attention to all things oceanique, adding an of- the- moment South American edge to the Paris dining scene. Olivier le Bon and his team serve tapas style fare alongside reasonably priced cocktails and an extensive wine list. First timers should start with a classic Pisco Sour, although we’d advise exercising some caution – standardised alcohol measures seem not to have made it to Gallic shores. A spicy ceviche or the citrusy tiraditos are menu highlights as is the selection of alfajores if you still have room for dessert. Taller diners should be aware of the small, low tables and accompanying stools that make you feel a little like Gulliver on his travels. Reservations are a must at this bustling restaurant but beware of booking before 7.30pm – a faux pas in a city where people eat late and like to linger over their food.
