U Zeleneho Caje
U Zeleneho Caje is one of the cosy tearooms in Prague and provides a welcome resting-place on the long, steep walk up the Royal Way towards the Castle. It serves a range of traditional and original brews, from Earl Grey to Mongolian Smoked. The warm and welcoming atmosphere is tinged with the pungent smell of incense, nu-age music and simple, uncluttered décor.
Staff are friendly and helpful, and although it’s not quite as casual or chilled as other tearooms, it is quite sophisticated. It doubles as a shop, too, where you can buy a range of different teas and corresponding accessories.
Sipping on a Brutal Nikita or a Tuareg brew while ordering a Hare Krishna burger might not be a quintessentially Czech experience, but it is most memorable, nevertheless.
