Lávka sits beside Karlovy Lázne, two clubs in Prague which are on the very edge of the river bank. Its large terrace has fantastic views up towards the Castle and over the looming Charles Bridge. If the largest club in Middle Europe next door caters for those with pretensions of greater things, then Lávka caters for those who know their place.

rnAnd their place is wading through crowds of people to cross the dance-floor, guzzling an over-priced beer and surrounding themselves with pure kitsch. There is a fantastic terrace to remind you where you are before you return to the melting-pot. Chart classics past and present play, while tourists dressed to pull pout over their drinks.

rnIf your idea of a good night out is shacking up with a young Scandinavian or an American, then this is your place. The only Czechs you will find here will probably expect their drinks, entry and everything else paid for. You have been warned, but it’s still a cracking night out.
