Hotel Art: one of the coolest, most crazily creative places to stay in Rome. Take one look at the lobby and you’ll notice that here Rome’s artistic heritage has decidedly fast-forwarded to the contemporary. In fact, you might even say audaciously so when you first see white space pods like giant snowballs housing the reception desk, and eye-watering splashes of orange, yellow, green and blue along the corridors. Rooms are decorated in a softer, neutral palette with dark wood, but can be a little cramped, and the novelty factor of being on a pseudo-spaceship may pall after a while. The enduring attraction of this hotel, however, is its location, smack-bang in the centre of town yet a real sanctuary from the crowds around the nearby Spanish Steps and Via del Corso.
