Hg2 : The Hedonist

Nonna Betta

Nonna Betta is more than just about eating in Rome. With walls covered in frescoed recollections of the Ghetto of the old days, this restaurant is all about getting to know each other and gaining a better knowledge of the time when Grandma Betta cooked the very same meal you’re about to have among her family, including nephew Umberto. Today, following the recipes coming straight from her cookbook, the menu includes artichokes Jewish-style (fried and gorgeous), pumpkin flowers, marinated zucchini and fried codfish, for an experience that is truly Roman, perhaps in an unexpected way.
