The visual exhibitions focus on contemporary art and popular culture with an emphasis on local artists. The annual Bay Area Now exhibition is one of the most popular draws. Performing arts programs include theatre, dance, and music presented in a state-of-the-art hall. The film and video schedule includes everything from obscure cult revivals to boundary-pushing new works by emerging filmmakers. On the first Tuesday of every month, entry (from noon-8pm) is free for all.
