The Corviglia is the most convenient ski area to reach, as it can be accessed from right in the centre of town, consequently it is home to the most popular runs in St. Moritz. It boasts a handful of advanced couloirs on the back side of the Piz Nair, some of which are fairly easy and quite wide, while others are seriously steep and narrow so it is best to ski with a guide who will select the right one for your ability and find some interesting ways down. These couloirs are among the most difficult in the valley and surrounding area, so if you like challenging terrain then this is for you. There are lots off off-piste possibilities and variations and loads of room between the pistes on Corviglia; up to 30 degree pitches can be found. There are also some very steep routes straight down from the cable car.
