It doesn’t harm AG925’s popularity that it can be tricky to find. Housed in a former silver workshop (the 925 in its name refers to the number that denotes sterling silver), it’s hidden away behind an unmarked door next to a porn shop on a nondescript street on Kungsholmen. When it first opened its popularity was helped by the fact that its location felt like an insider secret. The interior has retained a stark, warehouse-like atmosphere with concrete floors and white-tiled walls. The sofas are ideal to lounge on for a few hours, watching fashionable Stockholmers come and go. There’s often a DJ, but the music never drowns out conversation, and the owners organize regular art exhibitions. It’s lively most evenings with the after-work crowd, but it also has an excellent, relaxed restaurant that pulls in the patrons.
