The name is a little confusing: it’s called Kungsholmen and it’s on Kungsholmen. Known primarily as one of the most fashionable restaurants in the city, and a sibling to Fredsgatan 12 (see Restaurants) it also has a busy bar scene. The cocktail list is splendid. It lists drinks by region of origin – North America, Europe, Middle East, etc. – and then offers both classic and contemporary options. For something Asian, for instance, you might choose a modern Lychee Martini or a good old-fashioned Singapore Sling, while North America is represented by the new-fangled Pumpkin Punch or the traditional Sazerac. During the summer, a bar opens on a floating pontoon moored in front of the restaurant. On warm days, it’s very popular so if you get here and it’s too busy, head along to Mälarpaviljongen, which also has a bar on the water.
