Don’t be put off by the name, which stands for ‘Get Out of Here’ and also sounds like the slang pronunciation of ‘great’ in Swedish. It’s that rarest of things, a fast-food joint with good food. The meals come in little plastic containers, like in-flight meals, which can be taken away or microwaved on the premises. They taste good, having been developed in conjunction with the head chef of Operakällaren, one of the city’s best-respected restaurants. There’s even a line of gourmet baby food. To be honest, some dishes miss the mark (skip the pasta dishes which don’t seem to work) but the traditional Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes and cream sauce is delicious. And at 47 kronor, including a side order of lingon berries, it’s a steal. There are several Gooh! branches in the centre, and the range is also now available in some supermarkets. Other outlets are to be found at: Grev Turegatan 15, Östermalm, and Hötorget 4, Norrmalm.
