Set on a hilltop in Södermalm overlooking Djurgården and Gamla Stan, this breezy restaurant is synonymous among Stockholmers with summer. The numerous outdoor tables and menu of fresh Swedish summer eats makes the vertical trek you have to do to get there totally worthwhile. Not to mention the fantastic views of the city and the sea. Fåfängan is understandably only open during the warmer months and is popular for its weekend brunch, although it also makes a great spot for a sunset drink. Lookout for the Swedish flag flying over the gazebo-like building: that means they’re open.
