The Club
If you can bear crotchety doormen and the steep price of drinks, The Club is a rollicking spot for nocturnal shenanigans and naughty Sydney nightlife of a less obvious kind – especially if you detest dance music yet yearn for a club environment, as DJs play a mixture of Jay Z and Guns ‘n Roses, with everything from Britpop to Blondie blasting out of the speakers. The actual club itself has a scarlet history- it was once a former strip club known as Dancers Cabaret and the pole stage is still there and successfully continues to entice many a tipsy gaggle of girls. There’s a main dance area, a medley of sofas and potted plants and an outdoor patio area out the front, with various private areas to hire out if you want to lord it up (of course you do!) on plush Chesterfield sofas, with bottles of Belvedere vodka on ice and exclusive bar service from waitresses – they can even arrange a private DJ if you show ’em the money. Reserve the Bat Cave, a private room just to the side near the DJ, which has a key-pad code for guests and an exclusive bar and floor team catering to your every whim.
