Firefly

When it comes to places to eat in Sydney, there’s a lot to please at Firefly Wine & Tapas, from the cracking view of expensive yachts moored at Walsh Bay to the tasty wine and beguiling tapas, like the duck pancakes with crunchy bean sprouts, shallots and water chestnut, spiced chickpea fritters with aoli and tomato salsa, or succulent kingfish ceviche. If you can’t decide, get the shared banquet and order a drop from the rotating wine and beer list. In Sydney, you can’t be waterside sans cocktail, either, and Firefly makes sure there’s plenty to choose from, like the Rumba Tiki, made from Appleton rum, pinapple juice, coconut syrup, sage and muddled pineapple. Those in the mood for theatre, a couple of glasses of red and a chin-wag will love this place – it’s so popular, there are already two more venues in Lane Cove and Neutral Bay, both north of the Harbour Bridge.
