The urban farm space known as Hartsyard is the original and unfussy culinary outpost of husband and wife duo, Gregory Llewellyn and Naomi Hart. The pair produce simple, flavoursome food with a strong serving of TLC. Moreish dishes like the gumbo sausage with clams, dixie grits, mustard greens and bacon dressing are cause for excitement, as are the crispy pig tails served with a buttermilk dressing and hot sauce. There’s also a good selection of bourbon and malt whiskeys to round off proceedings, or for something a little lighter, sample the mainly European selection of wines. Inside, the restaurant bears the hallmarks of Llewellyn and Hart’s time in the US. Large tables line the space and natural woods are contrasted with modern furnishings that echo the effervescent urban landscape of Sydney.
