Sean’s Panaroma

Sean’s Panaroma is where coastal chic and fine dining meet. Found overlooking North Bondi Beach, the restaurant occupies a prime piece of beachside real estate, and a much-cherished place in the hearts of locals and visitors alike. It’s been a fixture in the area since the 90s and after a meal here it’s easy to see why. The 45-seat dining room is quirky and all corners, lending it an intimate feel with plenty of nooks to settle into. But when the sun shines, and it often does, it’s worth securing yourself a seat outside to enjoy the delicious food and seaside views en plein air.

Back inside Sean’s Panaroma, the largely all-white space is decorated simply, warmly, with paintings, photographs and ephemera on the walls, soft tablecloths on the dining tables, and wooden chairs. It’s cosy and elegant, which is no easy feat. Glance up at the blackboards bearing the dishes of the day, or put yourselves in the hands of the kitchen and order the “chef’s choice”; a unique way to dine at this popular beachfront spot.

While the menu changes regularly, you can expect everything from fresh fish and seafood to house-made pasta, cheese plates, and crunchy-sweet honeycomb. Throw in a few glasses of fine Australian wine and you’ve got the makings of a truly delicious meal – with unbeatable ambience to boot.
