Boga Pott
Tucked inside a little courtyard, next to a craft shop on the main walkway up to the medieval hill, Boga Pott remains, surprisingly, an authentic and pleasant spot for a snack. Its tiny size means it’s unsuitable for tour groups, although its location makes it a natural destination for foreign visitors.

rnThe café draws an endearing, art-shop atmosphere from the tourist boutique next door, which specializes in ceramics made on site – all the café’s cups and saucers come from the same kiln. With a door linking the two outlets there are always staff from the shop hanging out in the café, giving it a cheerful, local feel that balances out the foreign clientele.

rnIf you don’t look carefully you will miss the fantastic, almost invisible mezzanine upstairs – barely enough space for two tables, tucked into an ancient stone grotto, complete with miniature ceramic cherubim hanging off the ceiling like angelic bats. The café offers light snacks, soups and cakes as well as standard drinks. In summertime enjoy the courtyard terrace.
