An attractive neo-classical building on a busy road about ten minutes from the Old Town, the Kreutzwald Hotel has recently refurbished (and renamed) and been rewarded with its fourth star in recognition of 11 years of reasonably priced, good-quality service and the rather glamorous new decor.
Owned by two Estonians and three Russians, the Kreutzwald Hotel attracts mainly tourists.
Chefs Toomas Laats and Evgery Cherdantsev offer Estonian farm food inspired dishes in the hotel restaurant. The Kreutzwald Library offers a la carte dining amongst the books for a more rarefied atmosphere. Either way it’s a much improved version of the hotel it used to be.
There is a new summer terrace for alfresco dining during the warmer months.
