Old Town Maestro
Named the Maestro for the artistic clientelle it aims to attract, this gem of a hotel is hidden between two bars on Suur Karja, Tallinn’s most popular drinking street – a strip that rings with merry-making until the early hours. The noise does not affect the Maestro, however, six floors high and facing into an inner courtyard.
rn
rnOpened in 2002 by a Russian entrepreneur, it has 23 rooms that are stylish to a T and large too. The hotel was formerly an old town residence, which gives the modern conversion a bit of grandeur. However, unlike many conversions, the place is equipped with a lift and has a thoroughly modern feel.
rn
rnThe sixth floor houses the sauna/jacuzzi room, offering an unparalleled view of parliament and the onion domes of Nevsky church. It’s the only sauna in Tallinn with an internal window.
