Touristy Italian restaurant Fellini is not afraid to revel in Italian glitz: Dolce Vita photos on the black baby grand, beauty spa promotions on each table and a discreet little disco ball ready to spin on the ceiling – not to mention the emotional Italian musak playing constantly throughout the restaurant (and outside the front door, in Town Hall Square below).
Friendly bow-tied waiters, who also staff the snazzy silver bar, can be overstretched at times. With decent-quality standard Italian fare, the menu offers helpful ‘combination’ menus of starter and main course at reduced prices (a pasta followed by meat or salad, Italian-style, for example). Fellini also makes pizzas, so you can eat well or quickly depending on your mood. Although its eye is firmly on the tourists milling around the square, the atmosphere inside this movie-themed restaurant is comfortable and relaxed.
