Hg2 : The Hedonist

A Hedonist’s guide to…

Tallinn

Pirita TOP Spa
Do not be discouraged by TOP Spa's harsh exterior; as the largest residential health and beauty centre in Tallinn it's one of the best places to relax and rejuvenate in the city.
Golf – Niitvälja Club
Sitting pretty amongst Tallinn's jaw-dropping countryside is its finest golf course Tallinna Golfiklubi. Escape from the crowds in a suitably garish argyle jumper and hit the greens in style.
Tallinn Football Club
Although not yet a celebrated sport Estonia does have a celebrated local team who play at the national arena. Cheer on the local boys and show your support.
City Bike Tours
Although the cobbled streets of Tallinn aren't ideal for cycling the surrounding countryside practically begs to be explored on two wheels.
ELF Conservation Tours
If you want to give something back whilst in Tallinn, the ELF project welcomes volunteers of all ages and abilities to help out with their conservation work across Estonia. If you love walks in the woods and singing by the camp fire, this one's for y
Kalma Sauna
For the real Baltic sauna experience head to Kalma Sauna; open since 1928 the famed public sauna is every bit as fabulous as you'd expect.
Tallinna Hipodroom
A betting man? Then head to the hipodroom in the town centre where you can place a bet on your favourite four-legged steed and cheer it on from the sidelines - all the while with a suitably chilled glass of champagne in hand of course.
Tallinn Basketball Club
Believe it or not basketball is Estonia's favourite sport - and spectators love to watch slam-dunks by local team Kalev.
Kuul Saal Bowling Club
Tallinn's young 'uns love ten-pin bowling with most lanes located in shopping centres around the city. Three strikes and you're in. Check out KU:L SA:L.
Jeti Ice Arena
Ice skating can look graceful if you're any good but those who aren't likely to crash and burn rather spectacularly; hone your skills in Tallinn and make sure you don't go down without a sequin-clad fight.
Club 26
This fitness centre can be found on the 26th floor of the enormous Radisson Blu OlümpiaHotel; the views of the Baltic from the swimming pool are simply breathtaking. Try not to drown.
RMK Hiking
With such a diverse countryside it makes sense to throw on some hiking boots and head into the great unknown. Just be prepared to puff and pant your way home.
Estonian Experience Sailing
Sail away advised Enya - and what a wise woman she was. Do so in style by taking a boat out on the beautiful Baltic waters far far away from the coastline.
