An elegant gem of a bar in the midst of the Florentin, Cordovero presents an escape from the South Tel Aviv lifestyle in the form of a Spanish inspire wine bar. Located in the eponymous pedestrian walkway, the bar breaks away from the hubbub of the Vital Street pub strip, offering an intimate setting for a date or reunion among friends.
Riding high on the wave of tapas and wine bars, the Cordovero opened its doors in 2009 as the Southern neighborhood’s first venue for the popular trends. Yet the friendly staff and charming décor allowed for the Cordovero to transcend the temporally unstable existence of an average concept bar. The venue drew a strong following and has since become a true neighborhood bar, as local as its crowd of usual customers. Expect a seasonal menu of tapas and medium-sized dished of an eclectic Mediterranean palette. Highlights include the shrimp burekas with kashkaval cheese, and the lamb falafel with tahini.
