Lima Lima

Tel Aviv, as with many of its European counterparts, Is a city whose heart often beats to the rhythm of electronic-based music. Whether be it house, Trance, Dubstep, or any of their mongrel variations, DJ music will usually fill any hall and space meant for dancing. Hitting its stride as a venue for alternative music, the Lima Lima is the address for those seeking a little more ‘soul’ in their night.

Designed with the stylised lounges of the early 70’s in mind, the main hall at the Lima Lima offers a large dance floor, surrounded by lounge areas featuring low couches and tables. Shades of beige and brown are revealed under the dim illumination of low hanging lights. The garden out back is a true highlight, with several lounge areas, an additional bar, and a multi-coloured fountain reminiscent of the iconic Dizengoff Fountain.

The venue features offers musically-themed nights every week, ranging from roots reggae, to hip hop and on funk and groove. The Monday line, Notorious G.A.Y hip hop night, has become a local legend of sorts. Wednesday night Reggae concerts feature talent both local and from abroad. The crowd is a curious mix of locals, expats and tourists, all seeking a rowdy time.
