Brown Beach House
A stay at the boutique hotel, the Brown Beach House, in Tel Aviv puts you in ambling distance of not just glittering beaches, but also the Imperial Craft Cocktail Bar, recently voted one of the best cocktail bars in the world. And that’s just what’s nearby. The hotel itself is stuffed to its chic, contemporary rafters with entertainment, drinking and dining options. There are the private sun terraces, the spa with its outdoor jacuzzi tub, and the business amenities (for those not lucky enough to be there simply for the joy of it). And there’s the Flamingo Cafe and Bar, both with indoor and outdoor seating. Lit from the glow of a giant pink neon flamingo and populated with tiki-style furnishings, the outside space of the bar is a particularly popular meeting place for drinks, while the cafe serves a mean breakfast.
The rooms at the Brown Beach House also have a touch of the Miami Beach flair that can be felt in the public spaces, with swaying palms and the odd golden pineapple-shaped lamp dotted here and there. In all the rooms and suites, bold, monochrome patterns in the carpets and soft furnishings are offset by bright splashes of yellow and royal blue. But although the rooms do all have Egyptian cotton linens, free WiFi and plasma TVs, all accommodations here are not created equal. You just need to look to the wonderfully decadent surrounds of the signature suites, which have everything from sun terraces and sitting rooms to outdoor jacuzzi tubs and sea views, to experience that for yourself to indulgent effect.
