L’Indochine is one of the few oriental places to eat in Tignes, offering a different night out in the Alps. Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine has never been encouraged in France, but in the mountains even more so. The all-you-can eat buffet packs ’em in, with 40 hot and cold dishes to choose from until 1am. There is also fusion cooking – seafood on a skewer or a Chinese fondue – as well as a Far Eastern version of frogs’ legs. Indeed, it makes a change from melted cheese and potato.
