The Tokyo Station Hotel
The original Tokyo Station hotel closed back in 2006, for a restoration project of the historical Maranouchi building in which it is housed. Six years later, and The Tokyo Station reopens, offering 150 luxury guest rooms, 2 bars, 3 banquet halls and French, Japanese and Chinese restaurants.
If that isn’t enough, the building is classed as an ‘Important Cultural Property’ with 100 years of history within its walls, and is situated near the bullet train and Imperial Palace. Despite having famous Japanese culture hotspots on its doorstep, stepping inside the hotel is like entering an 18th century country manor. The very Western interiors (by British design firm Richmond International Ltd.) draw on European classicism to create a truly elegant and sophisticated space. A fitness club and spa only add to the experience, and it really is an experience – treat yourself to a stay in one of Tokyo’s most beautiful hotels.
